There are many stories surrounding these sweet shredded pancakes… The most important thing you have to know is that it was first made for Austrian emperor Franz Joseph! The name of these pancakes translates to ‘’Emperor's Mess’’. They are usually topped with powdered sugar and served with applesauce.
Little bright pink sponge cake, which is filled with nougat and jam, and soaked with rum. As a typical and beloved cake, you can find this tiny yet delightful sweet in practically every bakery and shop in Austria. The biggest mystery surrounding this dish is that no one knows who invented it!
People might mistake this coffee drink for a regular cappuccino, but actually it’s made with a very special and lighter coffee blend and topped with milk. When you order this drink at the coffee houses, they usually accompany it with a cup of water. The purpose of the water is to be a palate cleanser between the sips.
