The perfect alternative to crowded Alfama!
I loved how flat and breezy this walk was compared to the rest of Lisbon. Santos has this incredible mix of grand old palaces and trendy design studios. Our guide felt like a friend showing us around their favorite neighborhood.

The food stops were unbelievable. We had the best Pastel de Nata of our entire trip here, and washing down local petiscos with a crisp glass of Vinho Verde right by the river was a core memory. It’s the perfect mix of history, walking, and eating.

Hidden side of Lisbon
Walking through the tiled alleys of Madragoa and then coming out to the wide-open Tagus riverfront was stunning. You get the history of the old fishwives' quarters combined with the modern vibe of the design district. Highly recommend doing this on your first day in the city!
